Ethical Challenges in Public Relations

Despite stringent standards, the PR industry faces numerous challenges in implementing these ethics, especially amidst the rapid digital transformation and the accelerated spread of information via social media. Issues such as media misinformation, or the proliferation of “fake news,” pose significant hurdles for PR professionals, as the dissemination of false or misleading information can severely damage the credibility of institutions and practitioners alike.
